ISO 27001
ISO 27001 is an information security management system. The purpose of this standard is to increase information security within an organisation by implementing the requisite technical and organisational measures. These measures are converted into 114 checkpoints, as included in Appendix A of the standard.

Inadequate security of information processing causes significant damage year on year; damage that manifests itself in external problems, technical malfunctions, espionage and information misuse. The purpose of ISO 27001 is to identify organisational risks, to analyse these and take appropriate measures in overcoming them.

“We have worked with DQS for a number of years now for our ISO 27001 audits. They are thorough but, most particularly, proactive.
For us the ISO 27001 certification meant a constructive step forwards in terms of Information Security Management and it was additional validation for our (potential) customers that we deem security to be paramount.”
